Your dossier is bigger than you think.
Quietly, hundreds of companies hold your name, address, phone, and birthday. Pulling that back is possible — it's just a long, boring list of forms.
wrongperson is an iOS app that keeps the list. It bundles 424 opt-out targets — data brokers, marketing lists, healthcare directories, business listings, search-engine cache entries — and for each one it gives you the link, email template, or form to file the request.
The whole thing lives on your phone. No account, no login required. The progress markers stay between you and your device by default. If you enable iCloud Replication, your data syncs through your own iCloud private database — not through any server we run.
Folio 02 // How It Works

Each entry is a case. Each case has a clearance level, an opt-out path, and a stamp. Today's Brief tells you what to work on next.
- Today's Brief ranks the highest-impact entries you haven't touched, filtered to your clearance level.
- Tap an entry to read the case file and the opt-out instructions in plain language.
- Tap Open opt-out — Safari opens the company's removal form pre-routed.
- Come back and stamp the case Reviewed, Skipped, or N/A. The dossier remembers.
Folio 03 // Who It's For
Built for the person who's tired of being the product.
- You've Googled yourself recently and didn't love what came back.
- You've moved, changed names, or left a relationship and need the data trail to follow.
- You're a journalist, lawyer, public servant, or anyone whose home address being public is a real safety risk.
- You're just done with the principle of the thing.
The app does not require you to be technical. The hardest opt-outs are explained in plain English, including which forms are dishonest and how to push back.
Folio 04 // What We Don't Do
No tracking. No accounts. No middlemen.
- No account creation. You don't log into wrongperson. There is nothing to log into.
- No tracking by default. No ad networks, no behavioural fingerprinting, no third-party data sharing in the default build. Anonymous product-usage events are configurable but ship off by default.
- No removal-service servers. We don't run a backend that holds your data. The catalog ships in the app bundle and your progress lives on your device (optionally synced through your own iCloud).
- No paid removal middleman. Every opt-out request is submitted by you, directly to the company that holds your data — no intermediary.
